A Little Bit About Me
I'm someone who enjoys the inherent beauty of everyday life, and like to think that I can find a grace note even in the saddest of times. I don't regard myself as particularly materialistic, but nor do I aspire to monastic aestheticism - I enjoy eating out and my spa days way too much!

I've hit all the usual educational milestones and have a postgraduate master’s degree from the best public health research institute in the world. I also worked there for several enjoyable years and even managed to get my name on several published papers (totally not patting myself on the back here obviously….). More recently over the last few years, I made the decision (with the support of my amazing family) to take a career break and explore options outside the research lab, working and volunteering with nonprofits, and am now settled in a full time position in the publications industry.

I just re-read what I’ve written, and I’m finding it a little pretentious – yet I’m lazy enough to not want to re-write this, so I’ll finish up by saying that in person I’ve a dry sense of humor that tends to be rather self-deprecating, I’m kind and emphatic, held to be attractive, and as an extra plus a decent cook; I can be a complete chatter box with family, but conversely love nothing more than to enjoy periods of quite with a good book.
